About SpecialtyBillingHub — The Independent Billing Directory

Choosing a billing company is one of the most consequential vendor decisions a healthcare practice makes. We believe that decision should be informed by transparent, specialty-specific data — not advertising.

Our mission

SpecialtyBillingHub exists to help healthcare practice owners, office managers, and clinic administrators find billing companies that genuinely understand their specialty. Mental health billing is not the same as dental billing. ABA therapy claims follow different rules than home health claims. A billing company that excels in one specialty may be completely wrong for another.

Most existing directories treat medical billing as a single category. They list hundreds of companies with no way to filter by specialty expertise, no evidence of specialty knowledge, and no transparency about how companies are ranked. Many are pay-for-placement directories disguised as editorial recommendations.

We built SpecialtyBillingHub to solve this problem. Our directory organizes billing companies by the healthcare specialties they serve, evaluates them using publicly verifiable evidence, and presents the results in a format designed for comparison and decision-making.

What makes this directory different

Specialty-first organization

Every company is tagged by the healthcare specialties they serve. You start with your practice type and find companies with proven expertise in that area.

No pay-for-placement

Directory Readiness Scores are based on evidence quality, data completeness, and verification — never advertising spend. Companies cannot pay to improve their ranking.

Transparent scoring

Our scoring methodology is fully documented and publicly available. Every score is broken down into component parts so you can see exactly what drives it.

Evidence-backed profiles

Each company profile includes source URLs, evidence snippets, and a 'last verified' date. We show our work so you can verify claims independently.

Editorial independence

Our editorial team operates independently from any commercial relationships. Future sponsorship or featured placements will always be clearly labeled.

Built for decision-makers

Profiles are structured for comparison: services, pricing models, software integrations, geographic coverage, and trust signals — all in a consistent format.

How we research and verify companies

Our research process combines systematic data collection with manual verification. We identify billing companies through industry sources, company websites, professional directories, and public databases. Each company is evaluated for specialty relevance using evidence from their own websites and publicly available information.

We do not accept self-reported data without verification. When a company claims to serve a particular specialty, we look for supporting evidence: dedicated specialty pages, specialty-specific service descriptions, relevant software integrations, and documented experience with specialty-specific payer rules.

Every company receives a Directory Readiness Score based on five weighted categories: specialty evidence (25 points), data completeness (30 points), contact information availability (15 points), trust signals (15 points), and verification quality (15 points). The full methodology is documented on our How Rankings Work page.

Editorial independence and future monetization

SpecialtyBillingHub is an editorially independent resource. No company has paid for inclusion, improved ranking, or favorable coverage in this directory. Our Directory Readiness Scores reflect data quality and verification completeness — not commercial relationships.

In the future, we may offer premium features such as claimed profiles (where companies can update their own information), featured placements, and sponsored content. If and when we introduce these features, they will always be clearly labeled and will never influence editorial scores or rankings. Our Editorial Policy documents these commitments in detail.

We believe transparency about monetization is essential to maintaining trust. If you ever have questions about how a company is listed or ranked, we encourage you to review our methodology or contact us directly.

Have questions or feedback?

We welcome corrections, suggestions, and questions about our methodology. Transparency is a core value — we are happy to explain any editorial decision.
